Slate, once a privilege reserved for churches and castles, now defines the architectural character of entire regions.
Architects, planners, and builders have a wide range of options, as this versatile material is suitable for roofs, façades, and interiors.
Slate’s use as a building material dates back to the Middle Ages. It was widely favored for the roofs of churches and castles due to its fire resistance and ease of installation.
Mining Slate from Quarries in Germany and Spain
The slate we offer is sourced from quarries in Germany and Spain. Using advanced technology, the stone is initially cut into rough blocks with modern sawing systems, from which layers of approximately 5–8 mm are sliced. These layers are then processed into the desired shapes, and some products receive an additional finish.

Installation
Each slate façade or roof is a unique work of craftsmanship. The installer can leverage the stone’s natural properties to highlight the architectural features of the building. Therefore, choosing the right installer is crucial.
The stone is mounted on top of a frame, which allows for proper ventilation and facilitates air movement, enhancing the performance and longevity of the façade or roof.

Slate solar panels
Solar panels integrated between slates
A cutting-edge solution for façades and roofs is the integration of solar panels between slates. These panels can be customized in a variety of colors, finishes, and visibility options, including gloss and color tones.
Solar panels are installed similarly to slate, allowing them to blend seamlessly with the architectural design. In collaboration with panel manufacturers, this approach combines energy production with the timeless appearance of slate, merging modern technology with a historic aesthetic.
